Empowering women through service and advocacy
Empowering women through service and advocacy
We are the local chapter of one of the largest women's service organizations in the world.
Our mission is simple "To empower women locally, nationally, and internationally through service and advocacy."
Zonta envisions a world in which women's rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential. In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision making positions on an equal basis with men.
In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence.
Join us for a meeting as a guest to find out more about our Club. We typically meet the 1st Thursday of each month alternating between lunch and dinner. Unless otherwise specified, meetings take place at the Defiance Eagles. If you are interested in coming to one of our meetings as a guest please email us.
One hundred years ago, a small group of women came together in Buffalo, New York with a vision to help all women realize greater equality while using their individual and collective expertise in service to their community.
Their vision became Zonta International, an organization that has grown to more than 29,000 members in 63 countries, working together to make gender equality a reality for women and girls worldwide.
8 November 2019 marked Zonta’s centennial anniversary.
